Elements of Design: Colour

Colour is an element of design. It is the particular wavelength of light seen by the eye when an object reflects or emits light.

The Colour Wheel is a tool for creating and organizing colours and representing relationships among colours.

Primary Colours: Red, Yellow and Blue

Secondary Colours: Orange, Green and Purple

Tertiary Colours: are the result of combining primary and secondary colours:

Red-Orange | Orange-Yellow | Yellow-Green | Green-Blue | Blue-Purple | Purple-Red
